Final Fantasy - 11/4/06

Mr. Polaris Prize himself capped off the Blocks Library show Saturday (see prior entry for Ninja High School), with, IMO, perhaps the most technically-perfect show I've seen him perform. He is clearly working for those $20G's by polishing his sound and exploring the boundaries of his technique. A really crowd-pleasing set with plenty of smiles & sweet moments. "Le sigh, Oh Owen!" moment of the night - the crowd was nervous as water spilled across the stage started to creep closer & closer to all that electronic equipment and Owen's bare feet, but never fear! - Library Girls to the rescue! When 3 tiny library worker girls scuttled around with paper towels at his feet, Owen remarked "this would actually be pretty erotic, if I liked girls". Additional photos from this show: RIGHT HERE.
